WONDERSTRAWS from Fürth/Germany has developed sustainable drinking straws for the catering industry, which are now produced in Europe. Unlike paper straws, they retain their shape and do not disrupt the drinking experience. This means every drink tastes even better.
Even before the plastic ban was enforced in Europe more than three years ago Feng Han and Dr. Thomas Wunder founded the Dr. Wunder GmbH.
Goal: Put the focus on sustainable and stable straws that keep the drink in.
The production facility is now in Middle Franconia.
MORE THAN JUST A STRAW
Everyone knows the problem with paper straws: Shortly after the first sip they soften and are no longer needed. They often also contain toxic substances adhesives or plastic coatings that have a negative impacton the drinking experience. The same applies to bamboo stalks, which occasionally leave unpleasant residues left in the drink, And right there is the WONDERSTRAWS straw the solution. It is characterized by exceptional stability. The drinking straws keep their shape, guarantee a seamless drinking experience and do not solve up. Plus they are 100 percent made of corn starch, water and vegetable dyes. They are completely biodegradable. Furthermore, they are free of adhesives, plastics and bleaches and other chemicals. And the best thing is: In contrast to bioplastic, which is also like conventional plastic which takes up to 400 years to break down, the WONDERSTRAWS are completely compostable and can be used without worry.
